Here are the steps to take to actually get into the candidates’ pools of overseas employers.

Watch over my shoulder for these steps.

First, start with your list of overseas employers which you have identified in Part III of this mini-series

Visit the website of those employers and look for their Careers page.

Here is an example [INSERT AN EXAMPLE – shoot rest of video]

Do the same for recruiters.

You can now follow these steps with all the employers on your list of overseas employers and recruiters which you have identified through your research in part III of this mini-series.

This is like planting seeds, it will increase your chances of finding work abroad and you never know what will come of it. At first, mostly nothing, for a while, but we have found that our candidates if they do this right, get 40% hits out of this exercise alone, even if it is a while down the track.

This is called a shoulder tap and can come at any time.

Also, you might get some negative feedback from this exercise also!

In the next video, I will show you how to deal with that negative feedback in your attempts to work abroad.
