In Part IV – I showed you the steps with live examples of how to enter the candidates’ pools of overseas employers and in

Now, in Part V – How do you deal with the feedback from overseas recruiters and employers once you are exposed to their candidates’ pools because some of this feedback can be quite negative?

Remember – once you complete this exercise and get into the pools of 60 or more overseas employers which you identified during your initial research, you are getting a lot of exposure!

That means you can expect a lot of responses.

All of these responses might not be quite what you expect.

Here is how to deal with feedback from overseas recruiters and employers.

If you get any positive responses from adding your profile to the candidates’ pools of overseas recruiters and employers, that is great, and most of our VIP clients get that, but, some people freak out if they get one of two negative expenses.

Typical responses and feedback from overseas recruiters and employers

These responses will vary between responses like:

“We don’t work with immigrants”
“Come and see us when you are here”
“You do not meet the requirements”
During Covid – “The borders are closed”

Etc.

Your reaction to feedback from overseas

So how should you react to feedback from overseas recruiters and employers?

Remember your aim here. Your aim is simply to get into the pools of overseas employers. That is it. You are NOT APPLYING FOR SPECIFIC JOBS HERE.

Once the borders are open, you can be considered when they are picking from their pools, and they already are …

If you get a reply that they don’t deal with immigrants, you might have done your research wrong, or the person who is replying does not know better

If they are saying you do not meet requirements, you might have missed some requirements and not uncovered them during your research and not included it in your matching profile. Therefore the research is so important.

You might also have, especially recruiters, criticizing your CV and tearing it apart in their feedback from overseas. Remember, you are not pizza and you cannot satisfy everyone’s tastes.

Keep calm and carry on.

Learn from any positive feedback from overseas recruiters and employers and move on, refine your research, find the next batch of employers and recruiters and repeat the process.

Your aim is to get into these pools because it is proven that they hire from their pool of candidates.

Let the seeds which you plant grow and keep going despite the feedback from overseas.

We had several instances where VIP clients still get should taps from these pools, months, even years later. Keep going.

This video about how to deal with feedback from overseas concludes our mini-series on how to get into the candidates’ pools of overseas employers.
